Welsh Tourist Board

Y Bwthyn is a 200 year old traditional farmhouse with inglenook fireplaces, oak beams and wood burning stoves. The bedrooms are family sized with en-suite bathrooms. Breakfast is made with locally sourced produce including eggs from our chickens and award winning sausages for the local butcher. It is a working farm with cattle and sheep as well as chickens and friendly cats and dogs. We have a large garden and children's play area. The farm overlooks the ancient town of Kidwelly with breathtaking views of the countryside and nearby coast. Walk down the footpath through the woods and visit the magnificent castle and church.
We are centrally situated to discover South West Wales - spoilt for choice for beaches, we have Cefn Sidan's 7 mile stretch of sand and the Pembrey Country Park on our doorstep with the Gower Peninsular, Tenby and Saundersfoot within easy distance. Cycle and walk along the Millennium coastal path and enjoy the wildlife and scenery of the estuary.
Our favourite castles include Kidwelly, Llansteffan and Carreg Cennan as well as Newton House and Dinefwr castle. The Botanical Garden of Wales and Aberlglasney house and gardens are about 30 minutes away.
Carmarthen and Llandeilo are the old market towns of the area and have kept their character with original quirky shops and eating places and are well worth a visit.
We are within easy distance of the Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire National Parks.
There are excellent local pubs with quality food as well as restaurants in and around Carmarthen.
