Traditional friendly country inn situated in the heart of the Gower Peninsular.
Our beautiful country hotel - built as a private house 250 years ago and said to be haunted - is named after the nearby Arthurs stone. According to legend this was put on Cefn Bryn by the mythical king - it transformed from a pebble which King Arthur threw from his boot.
The entrance to the hotel is a delightful hallway where a splendid sword resembling Excalibur is on display, and access can be gained from here to either the restaurant, the Gower room or the main bar.
There is a relaxed old pub atmosphere with log fires, a cosy restaurant and 6 pleasant en-suite rooms. 12 Newly built bedrooms are situated in a seperate building just behind the pub alongside our recently renovated 17th century cottage which is availble on a S/C or B&B basis.
The King Arthur Hotel is renowned locally for its delicious home cooked food and extensive seasonal menus including game and locally caught fish.
Meals are served in our cosy restaurant which can cater for parties of up to 55 people. We also serve food in the Gower room which seats up to 50 people, and the main bar which accomodates a further 50 persons.
For larger parties there is Avalon, our banqueting hall where we can cater for weddings or parties for 150-200 guests.
It is the ideal centre for exploring Gower, for a relaxing country holiday or for a bracing outdoor pursuits holiday.
