The Nags Head is a former coaching inn that has been thoughtfully renovated to create a spacious venue with real effort made to bring together the traditional and the contemporary. Light hearted and bold art in the gallery meets with a more tradtional feel in the west wing and lounge areas. A log fire adds to the atmosphere.
A large oak bar dominates the bar area and serves a good mix of premium brand lagers and real ales.
The Menu is varied and has wide appeal from the Welsh lamb to beer battered haddock & chips - starters, light bites, main meals and grill items sit beside each other in harmony! Daily specials provide something a little different. All meals are freshly prepared from quality ingredients.
The five bedrooms have been finished to an excellent standard and where possible the original features remain - beams and wooden floors. All rooms are ensuite and have 3D satellite TV, VOIP phones, tea & coffee making facilities.
The Severn Way & Montgomery Canal path runs past the front of the building and is a great place to make a pit stop on any leg of your journey.
Local attractions include Powis Castle, Lake Vrynwy, Montgomery with its castle and Shrewsbury.
