Yr Hen Felin (The Old Mill ) 4 star tourist board is situated beside the flowing waters of the Nant Gwydol in the quaint and peaceful village of Abercegir, alongside the Glyndwr Way National Trail, formerly an old woollen mill circa 1820.
This lovingly restored converted woollen mill is now a warm and pleasant traditional style house with inglenook fireplace, original stripped pine floors and beams throughout, whilst leaving the exterior to its original traditional structure of local stone and slate.
There are three letting rooms, all with en-suite facilities and hospitality tray. A traditional breakfast is offered with home made preserves, honey from our bees and eggs from our free range chickens. A stroll on our river walk is a lovely way to start or end the evening.
Situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, Yr Hen Felin is the ideal spot for an away-from-it-all break, an energetic walk over the hills or if you prefer to drive, why not follow the course of the river Dyfi (Dovey) down the estuary to the sea, close by at Aberdyfi (Aberdovey).
You will never be lost for anything to do around this truly historical area and the nearby market town of Machynlleth - the Ancient Capital of Wales - is only five mile away It is no wonder that so many visitors return to the area year after year.
