The Brown’s

King Street, Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, SA33 4RY, Wales

Welsh Tourist Board

'Browns Hotel is one of the great literary pubs due to its association with iconic Welsh writer Dylan Thomas and other luminaries such as Mick Jagger, Elizabeth Taylor and President Carter who followed in his footsteps. In 2012 'The Browns', which was built in 1752, underwent a complete refurbishment and now offers 14 luxury rooms, bar meals, car-parking, wi-fi, conference facilities, and Penderyn Distillery products and Welsh real ale in its Grade-2 listed bar. Laugharne (which Dylan described as '...a black magical bedlam by the sea', and '...the strangest town in Wales'!) has many treasures including the castle, giftshops, cafes, the Dylan Thomas Boathouse, the Tin Shed Experience Museum and several walks of varying length along the glorious Taf estuary (Dylan's, '...heron-priested shore') as well as a busy events calendar. Please email or call us on 01994-427-688 for more info. Thanks!'
