With superb views from the balcony at the front of the house across Tremadog Bay, this is a fantastic spot to while away the hours and watch the boats sail in. To the rear is a secluded garden where you can disappear from the world with only birds as company and forestry hugging you from behind. Accessed by 45 steps, the property is very private and elevated, towering above the beautiful village of Borth y Gest. From the bottom of the steps it is a short walk to the village tearooms, numerous small sandy bays, quiet coves, and the coastal footpath to Black Rock Sands or Porthmadog. The village of Borth y Gest is built around its own crescent bay with a small slipway and boat moorings, there are marvellous views across the tidal bay and estuary towards Portmeirion village and the mountains of Snowdonia. Nearby Porthmadog has a variety of shops and good eating places, 2 narrow gauge railways with steam engines, a golf course, and museums. Must-dos in the area include Portmeirion village (4 miles), Cricieth beaches and castle (5 miles), Beddgelert mountain village at the foot of Snowdon (8 miles), Llanberis, numerous lakes, museums and train rides including the scenic trip up Snowdon. This is a picturesque and central location for a holiday property in North Wales.

Living room includes a log burning stove, Freeview TV, DVD & CD player with iPod docking station. French doors to large balcony affording spectacular views across Tremadog Bay.
Kitchen features a Belfast Sink, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave & plenty of cook books for those interested in improving their culinary skills!
Dining area is integral to the kitchen, with French doors to the decked balcony and spectacular views over the village of Borth y Gest.
Bathroom includes a beautiful roll top bath with extraordinary feature portholes along the side & WC.

To the rear is a small pond and patio area. To the front is a tiered area which leads to the large decked balcony with ample seating and a BBQ. 45 steps down to the street parking.
Electricity included. Gas paid for by meter reading. Starter pack of logs and kindling provided.

No Wi-Fi but many pubs & cafes in Porthmadog have Wi-Fi.

Mini-break rules at this cottage: A mini-break is a holiday for less than a week and/or may start on a day which isn't the normal changeover day (Saturday). This property owner will only accept mini-breaks at short notice - not more than 14 days before the starting date of the holiday.
Exceptions: In 2016, mini-breaks are available from £306. They can be a Monday - Friday or Friday - Monday breaks, available in October and November, bookable at anytime.

A single £27 Booking Fee applies to all bookings and is included in the price shown. Bookings for 2 weeks will be eligible for a £27 Multi-week Saving. Please claim this in the 'Additional Information' box that appears during the booking process and we will adjust the total before deducting the money from your card.
We strongly recommend that you take our Cancellation Protection (see Terms & Conditions). If you continue you will notice that during the next booking steps this will automatically be selected for you and the price will increase, so simply de-select them on the bookings screen if you already have holiday insurance or if you do not want any cover.
The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.
After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.
No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.
Mini-breaks & Weekends: Bookings that are for less than 7 nights are only bookable within 21 days (some properties are within a different amount of days) of the start date of the holiday. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's usual change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner.
